I'm Maya, a Product Designer working remotely from Miami, Florida. Throughout my career, I've immersed myself in various design disciplines, from Visual Design to UI/UX, UX Research, Service Design, and Product Management.

What truly captivates me about Product Design is its ability to blend these diverse disciplines, presenting designers with ambigious and complex challenges to solve. We're tasked with navigating the intricacies of multi-platform and cross-platform user experiences, smoothing out friction points along the customer journey.

Unlike other design professionals confined by platform-specific constraints, as a Product Designer, I have the freedom to explore and define the best platforms and delivery mechanisms for user-centric solutions.

With nearly two decades of experience under my belt, I've become proficient in design tools, principles, and methodologies, and have a track record of delivering impactful software products and services as a senior individual contributor. Transitioning into management roles over the past 5 years, I'm now focused on honing my soft skills, and strategic leadership, and deepening my industry expertise. I'm sometimes described as a hands-on player-coach.

Fueled by a growth mindset, I thrive on feedback and continuous improvement. My superpowers are adaptability, creativity, storytelling, resilience, and organization. My aspirations extend beyond personal growth; I aim to be a thought leader in the tech realm and a bridge within the design community, fostering connections and sharing insights.
